Mark Mussett

Mark Mussett joined Odyssey Marine Exploration in 2005 as a marine science and research specialist and has been part of the company’s mineral exploration work since 2010. Today, as Director of Minerals Research, he plays a central role in assessing prospective mineral occurrences, managing licenses, and guiding geological and hydrographic analysis.

He holds dual degrees in marine science (geology concentration) and communication from Eckerd College, as well as a master’s degree in marine science (hydrography concentration) from the University of South Florida. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in marine science at USF, where he has been recognized with both the University Graduate Fellowship and the Thomas E. Pyle Memorial Fellowship in Marine Science.
