Dr. Tracey Conrad
Marine Geologist

Dr. Tracey Conrad joined Odyssey as a scientific consultant in 2020 after completing her Ph.D. in Geology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. During her graduate studies, she collaborated with the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Marine Minerals Team, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI), and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where she worked with the NIRVANA isotope research laboratory.
Prior to earning her doctorate, Tracey served as a scientific contractor with the USGS Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center, Marine Minerals Team, and participated in research at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL). She also joined an international research cruise with JAMSTEC to the Northern Marianas.
Tracey earned her B.S. in Geology and English from California State University, Fresno, where she worked at SECOR as an environmental consultant intern analyzing air, water, and soil samples for contamination and assisting with regulatory reporting.
