Christopher Moore is an experienced marine operation professional with demonstrated success leading complex offshore operations for government, industry teams and stakeholders. His vast experience includes strategic offshore operations planning and management, ship repair, subsea technology, global supply chain management, sourcing demand planning, process re-engineering, and vendor/client relationship management. His ability to deliver mission critical results is demonstrated by his expansive career successfully executing projects at various depths and marine environments.

Captain Moore joined Odyssey Marine Exploration in 2022 as the Director of Marine Operations and leads all marine operations activities from strategic planning through reporting, ensuring the safe and efficient management of Odyssey’s marine personnel, equipment, support services and leased vessels.  He is also responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and management of the high-tech deep-ocean tools used in mineral exploration projects as well as leading operations offshore.

Prior to joining Odyssey, Captain Moore worked at Phoenix International Holdings from 2012 to 2022 in several different positions including Director of Commercial Undersea Operations and Project Director for MH370 Search Operation. In 2011, he retired as an O-6 ranked officer after 25 years of service with NOAA Corps and is a licensed Merchant Marine Captain.

He is a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School and a Harvard Kennedy Federal Executive Fellow as well as a published author for industry publications.
